Taking Your Practice Deeper
March 4, 2020
Your yoga practice is a lifelong journey – entirely unique to you, and meant to shift and change as you grow. The beauty of the practice is that there is no mastery. We are all students, and whether you’ve been on your mat two days or two decades, there is always an opportunity to take your practice deeper.
At Uptown Yoga, we’re offering several opportunities for you to deepen your experience and knowledge of yoga, no matter where you are on your journey:
Level 1 Teacher Training: 200 Hours
While many yogis enroll in a 200-hour teacher training program with the goal of eventually teaching yoga, there are just as many who go through teacher training to deepen their personal practice. Our program begins this Friday, February 29. Register now for the opportunity to delve deeper into everything from anatomy to breathwork to asana, under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
Yoga Retreats in Bali
The retreats we offer in Bali are one-of-a-kind experiences led by studio owner Jen Chitwood, who calls Bali home part of the year and is a true local guide. Nourish your soul, regain your peace, and experience the vibrant Balinese culture at one of our upcoming retreats.
Healthy Living Series
Many people realize as they deepen their yoga practice that yoga isn’t simply an exercise or meditation program – it is a lifestyle. If you’re ready to make lasting changes to your lifestyle that will keep you healthy, happy, and peaceful throughout the year in body and mind, join our six-session healthy living series with Lisa Coyle, yoga teacher, holistic health coach, and Ayurvedic yoga specialist.
Find Balance in Handstand
Taking the physical asana practice deeper is one way to cultivate the body-mind connection in your yoga practice. Jessica East continues her two-part series with a handstand workshop on March 14th. Whether handstand is a journey you’re just beginning or if you already have a handstand practice, you will build the confidence and lightness needed to take your hand balancing to the next level.
Wherever you are in your yoga journey, there are ways to move deeper and get to know yourself and your practice on another level. If you have questions about any of our upcoming trainings, retreats, or events, please email Jen Chitwood at jen@uptownyoga.com.
