Look for flights arriving earlier on the day of start date of retreat. This will allow for more time to relax and explore before we begin. The first group activity is dinner on day 1. If arriving earlier than start day, contact Jennifer to help arrange additional hotel nights. Flights out should be booked for last day of the retreat anytime after 11am, to be able to enjoy our last morning together. If you can stay longer, please do! Jen can arrange for additional activities and accommodations.

Bali gives visa on arrival, at the airport, at no charge. No need to arrange before arrival.

There are no required vaccinations to visit Bali. Hep A/B and Tetanus are basics that are good to have for any travel. Check with CDC.org for additional recommendations.

Most things are covered in the retreat, but safe to say have at least $300 on you for extras. Add more if you like to shop. Credit cards are widely accepted but they will charge a 3-5% fee. ATM’s are all over, as well. But best to get the cash you need before we start. Money exchanges outside of the airport will give better rates. You will get better rates for 50’s and 100’s. Make sure they are from 2006 or newer without tears or writing on them.

Attire is very casual in Bali. Leave your heels at home. Pack (or buy!) a sarong to cover up knees for temples and any ceremonies we find we can pop into. One t-shirt is handy, too. Otherwise, it’s tropical....tanks, sun dresses, shorts are all ok. While at the villa you will most likely live in a swimsuit and cover up. Pack some hiking shoes that can go in the water. Hiking sandal such as Tevas or Keens are great. Think hiking some rocks and possibly muddy terrain and also going through a rocky stream.

The Villa has laundry service at a reasonable rate ($3 per load), so here’s your chance to pack light. Or at least leave room for those treasures that you are sure to find! Pro-tip- if you are a shopper, pack a duffle bag in your luggage you can use on the way back, just in case.

Absolutley! Refillable water bottles are a must. We try to cut down on waste as much as possible. I will have some really nice ones you can purchase or borrow at the villa, too.
