Taking lessons from them, we will explore spending more time being in the present moment and out of our ever spinning minds of the West. Expect to have your breath taken away by the beauty of the land and the generosity of the people.
Arrive in Bali! Transfer to our luxury hotel in Ubud. Free afternoon to explore the city by foot. Visit the Monkey Forest, shop at Ubud Art Market or pop into one of the many healthy cafes for a smoothie bowl or fresh coconut. There is so much to see. Welcome dinner with the group at a local cafe.
Early morning meditation with a Shaman. Participate in a morning ritual at a water temple and have your palm read by a Balinese healer. We will learn how to make canang, the daily offerings that are a big part of Balinese life. In the afternoon, we will transfer to our private villa in North Bali, taking in a few sites along the way. We will arrive at the villa in time to view the sunsetting behind our neighboring island Java. Traditional Indonesian dinner at the villa. (B,D)
Morning yoga and meditation, fresh breakfast and a free day to relax and settle into island life. Chill by the pool, get massages, read a book and just enjoy slowing down. Evening relaxing yoga. Grab a glass of wine and take in the sunset from the comfort of our backyard by the sea. Dinner together at the villa. (B, L, D)
Sunrise meditation and morning yoga. Fresh breakfast, then off to hike to Sekumpul Waterfalls. This is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Bali. Swim in the refreshing water as you look up to the mountains and mist created by the falls. Afterward, we head to Lovina for a vegetarian lunch at Jennifer’s favorite cafe. Time to shop and walk the beach before returning to the villa. Evening yoga and dinner at the villa. (B, D)
Sunrise meditation and morning yoga. Fresh breakfast. Morning trip to local market where we will buy food for lunch. The market is full of bright colors and interesting fruits and veggies. Great photo ops. Our favorite cook Nita will guide us through a cooking class, then we get to eat our creations. Relaxing afternoon full of massages and pool time. Evening yoga. Sunrise meditation and morning yoga. Fresh breakfast. Morning departure to Menjangan Island for snorkeling or diving. Menjangan is a protected National Marine Park full of vibrant coral and marine life. We take a 30 minute boat ride from Bali to reach our snorkeling spots. The ride out is beautiful, many mountains and neighboring islands can be seen in the distance. Evening yoga. Dinner at the villa. (B, L, D)
Morning yoga and meditation. Fresh breakfast. Relaxing day at the villa or optional day trips available such as releasing baby turtles at Pemuteran Beach, visiting Melangting and the Monkey Temple or Lake Trekking. Evening yoga, closing fire ceremony.
