Portrait of Chris Jackson, an experienced vinyasa and hatha yoga instructor teaching at Uptown Yoga.

Chris Jackson

With over 25 years in fitness, Chris brings a lifelong commitment to movement, strength, and self awareness into every class. His background includes weightlifting and nearly two decades of personal yoga practice, evolving into over 3,000 classes taught across a wide range of styles.

Chris teaches vinyasa and flow-based classes alongside beginner yoga, chair yoga, yin, and hatha, which serve as the foundation of his training. He completed his yoga certification in Los Angeles through CorePower Yoga around 2019, and has continued to refine his approach through consistent teaching and study.

His teaching style emphasizes slowing down in a world that often moves too fast. Rather than focusing only on physical postures, Chris encourages students to explore the broader intention of yoga beyond the mat. He believes that a true practice is reflected in how you breathe, carry yourself, and respond to life off the mat.

In class, students are guided to reconnect with themselves, tune into their breath, and create space for reflection. His goal is to provide an environment where you can release what no longer serves you, reconnect with what matters, and build a stronger, more balanced relationship with both body and mind.
