200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training
Initiate your journey into sharing the gift of yoga, whether it’s with friends and family, in front of a classroom, or more deeply with yourself.

You Don't Need to Be Perfect. You Need a Path.
The people who benefit most from teacher training are often the ones who never imagined enrolling. They don't arrive with perfect poses or years of advanced practice. They show up curious, eager to learn, and ready to deepen their understanding of themselves and the practice they love.
Yet most people don't feel completely ready when they sign up. They wonder if their practice is strong enough, if they belong in the program, or if they fit the image of what a yoga teacher should be.
I had those same doubts. Many of your teachers did too.
The truth is that meaningful growth doesn't come from having the perfect practice. It comes from curiosity, commitment, and a genuine desire to learn more about a practice that has positively impacted your life.
For some graduates, this journey leads to teaching. For others, it leads to a stronger personal practice, greater self-awareness, and a deeper connection to yoga and those around them. Either way, the transformation begins the moment they decide to say yes.
Our 200-Hour Teacher Training provides the framework, anatomical knowledge, mentorship, and hands-on experience to help you deepen your practice, find your voice, and develop the skills to teach safe, intelligent, and inspiring classes. Because our program is not tied to a corporate curriculum, you'll graduate with the ability to thoughtfully adapt and share the practice with a wide range of students and loved ones.
If you feel called to learn more, trust that feeling. The version of you who graduates from this program will be stronger, more knowledgeable, and more confident than the one considering it today.

UYTT Fall 2026: 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training
August 22, 2026 – November 22, 2026
Step onto the mat and into your power. Our 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is a transformative journey designed to deepen your physical practice and awaken your authentic teaching voice. Whether you are seeking a profound life shift, a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy, or the practical skills to safely and confidently lead a class, this comprehensive Yoga Alliance-certified program provides the supportive environment you need to grow as a student of life and a teacher of yoga.

Deepen Your Practice,
Expand Your Life
At Uptown Yoga, we believe a consistent, dedicated physical practice is the most effective foundation for profound personal growth. The UYTT 200-Hour program goes far beyond memorizing poses; it is an immersive, hands-on experience designed to challenge your limits, refine your technical skills, and equip you with life-changing lessons. By diving deeply into the mechanics of your own practice, you will cultivate the physical and spatial awareness necessary to show up more fully—both as an engaged student of life and as a powerful, grounded teacher of yoga.
Our ultimate goal is not to produce cookie-cutter instructors. We are here to provide the precise framework you need to share the gift of yoga in a way that authentically suits you. Throughout the training, you will be guided to discover your unique teaching voice in a highly supportive, collaborative environment. You will receive thoughtful, direct, and constructive feedback from experienced mentors to continuously fine-tune your cueing, sequencing, and room-management skills.
Because true confidence is built strictly through action, we heavily prioritize practical application. We dedicate numerous hours of our curriculum directly to teaching practicums, ensuring you transition seamlessly from absorbing theory to actively leading. By graduation day, you will possess the exact anatomical knowledge, sequencing strategies, and practical experience required to step to the front of the room and teach a complete class safely, effectively, and with absolute confidence.
Is This Training Right For You?
This is for you if...
You want to understand the "why" behind the poses, not just the "how."
You feel drawn to teaching but battle with imposter syndrome (you do not have to be "perfect" to begin!).
You simply want to immerse yourself in yoga for your own personal development—no desire to teach required.
You are ready to dedicate your weekends to learning, growing, and engaging with an in-person community.
You are seeking a comprehensive, Yoga Alliance-certified framework to deepen your technical knowledge and anatomical awareness.
This is NOT for you if...
You are looking for a quick, effortless certificate.
You aren't open to receiving constructive feedback, practicing teaching, and growing within a community.
You prefer passive learning rather than active, hands-on participation and real-time interaction.
You are unable or unwilling to commit to the in-person training schedule required for this certification.
You are looking strictly for a fitness-based credential and have no interest in yoga philosophy, history, or self-inquiry.
What You Will Learn
The training meets the requirements set by Yoga Alliance for a 200-hour RYT certification. By completing it, you will be able to register with YA and seek employment as a full or part-time teacher.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to be able to do advanced poses?
Not at all. Teacher Training is the place that many people finally ‘get’ those poses they never could before. By learning the mechanics of the body, you’ll understand the steps to obtain poses you didn’t think possible.
Do yoga teachers have to have a ‘perfect’ yoga practice?
No. We are humans living in a modern world and we are teaching to the same. The most effective teachers are relatable, have had struggles, and have come out the other side with valuable knowledge to share.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Tuition can be paid in five installments of $650. We also offer flexible payment amounts, provided your participation in the training does not exceed the portion of tuition that has been paid.
Can I take class at the studio before signing up?
We encourage it. Each yoga studio has their own vibe; their own style of teaching. Teacher training is a big investment in time and money. Be sure you enjoy the place where you will
spending both at.
Can I do the course online?
We recommend that our trainees do not miss more than 2 weekends of in-person sessions to ensure success in the program. Online learning does not allow for the subtle energetics of practice and teaching that in-person does.
How long have the lead trainers been teaching?
Yoga is a lifelong practice that changes through different stages of life. Our lead trainers have been teaching individually for at least 15 years. You will benefit from their lived experience.
Will I be able to teach after graduation?
Yes! We equip you with the knowledge to create your own classes and adapt them for any type of student. Some trainings only teach you a ‘branded’ class and require an additional training upsell to learn how to sequence your own classes.
I’m not sure I want to teach, is this program for me?
Most of us weren’t sure either. Some of us were positive we would never teach, and now own yoga studios and host yoga retreats all over the world. If you feel called to it, go for it! You never know where it will take you. ✨

Still deciding if this is the right path for you?
Embarking on a 200-hour yoga teacher training is a significant milestone—it’s an investment of your time, energy, and resources. I completely understand that you might have questions about the curriculum, your readiness to teach, or simply how the training schedule will fit into your daily life.
