Lisa Breitenwischer

I’ve been practicing yoga off and on since 1998. I spent many years running, and enjoyed participating in 5 and 10K races. After my first and last marathon in November 2005, I decided to run less and devote more energy towards yoga, increasing my practice to 4 and 5 times per week. After several months, my muscles became leaner, longer, and stronger and my mind became calmer and more focused. What began, as way to stay healthy and fit became a full time passion. I became a Certified Power Yoga instructor in December 2006.
After teaching over 1000 hours of yoga in 2010, I am now an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. I’m also working towards my 500-hour certification, which I will complete in 2012.
Being part of the Uptown Yoga community has been a life changing experience for me. With all the love and support channeling through the studio it has brought me to my current path as a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. I absolutely love it! I am now able to help people relieve stress, increase energy and bring balance to their diet and life style. I started a new company in 2010 called BalancingEnergy, Health & Yoga Wellness. I look forward to seeing y’all on the mat!
