My journey into yoga began back in the Fall of 2001. I had always loved working out. I was an avid runner, always striving to stay fit and healthy. Unfortunately, my body wasn't changing, my workouts were stagnant and I was really just bored! At the encouragement of one of my running buddies, I walked into my first yoga class over 7 years ago and haven't looked back. I almost immediately noticed a change in my body, but more importantly, over time, I really realized the overall change in my life. Mentally, I had never felt better or stronger. Yoga completely changed my life, so much, in fact, that I wanted to share it with others by becoming a yoga instructor. In the Fall of 2003, I went off to LA for a 9 week intensive teacher training program. I have continued my training since then by studying and attending workshops by Baron Baptist, Brian Kest, Bikram and Beryl Binder Birch. My mission as a yoga instructor is to help my students realize their full potential, in and out of the yoga room. I love challenging my students by teaching an invigorating vinyasa flow that incorporates my love for music. You will leave feeling stronger and mentally refreshed. I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful yoga studio and to be able to share yoga with the Dallas community. I hope to see you soon on the mat! |
